The Union Club, Soho, & Old Marylebone Town Hall - a Rock ‘n Roll-themed London Wedding
Generous words indeed and you can imagine my delight in receiving them from Gary. The truth is I had a fabulous time photographing this wedding with a treat of a brief. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was ‘themselves’, heading down to London from Scotland to celebrate Gary & MJ big moment; to be there, celebrate, let their hair down and party. Being able to let it roll and be yourselves from the moment your wedding day begins to the last dance on the dance floor is exactly what I hope for a bride and groom because by the day the arrives, all the planning is complete, time is precious, and if you can let it go and just be yourselves, that is when the magic happens and in pictures.
Kicking off at the Old Marylebone Town Hall (how could a Rock ‘n Roll ceremony really take place anywhere else?) where Gary & MJ arrived and entered the Westminster Room together, onwards via crazy champagne-fuelled open top red London route master bus and arriving in Soho at one of my most favourite London reception venues - The Union Club in Greek Street - to a fanfare of handshakes and calls of congratulations from passersby before their uproarious and joyous wedding breakfast and party.
All my wedding couples receive both colour and black and white fully processed and hand touched images from their wedding day, and the black and white versions from this one are very cool, but this wedding screamed colour and everyone metaphorically and literally went to town with it.
So, full technicolour some highlights from the story of Gary and MJ’s day in pictures.
They even had some Rock ‘n Roll legends along as you will discover below:)
